Insets?

I will post again later tonight about our day, but first....we got our call from Animas and they are shipping out Adam's GREEN pump TOMORROW! Woot!

Here's my question - do I want the Insets or the Inset 30s? The rep seemed to think that we'd want the angled ones, but I told him I needed to ask my D-moms first!

  2. Hooray!! We never used the Insets, but used the Inset 30s. I liked the inset 30s, except that Charlotte developed a sensitivity to the plastic and we couldn't get more than 24-36 hours out of site. (you probably won't have that problem though) We switched to the Contact Detach (steel cannulas). I love them and we get 4 days out of each site. I like them because we never ever ever have to wonder about kinked cannulas. You're welcome to try a couple if you want.

  3. We use the Inset (23/6)...same as Danielle's post above. It seems Joe has some issue with the plastic cannula, so we change it every 36 hours. We did try the steel tip (Contact-Detach) ones but Joe complained that they were too painful...so we switched back to the Insets. Sorry if this isn't helpful. Can you ask the rep to try a couple of different types to see what works for you and Adam?

  6. awesome!! We had an awful time with all plastic cannulas. We now use contact detach steel ones 6mm and justice says they dont hurt..each kid is different. Also no kinks!
